Which is why it’s not here that his confidence wavers, in reassuring Nancy that he’ll be there, because what Steve is even more painfully aware of is that just because they find Tommy doesn’t mean he’ll give them what they need.

Valuing organic media led these thoughts on industries that my algorithm advertises most often -- "Health", and "Beauty" content.

Most often I go about my schedules or routines day to day in a balanced, undisrupted frame of mind. The concept of division is not represented outside of social media. So while scrolling through "For You" pages relating financial hastags …

Growing divides in those with capital and those with limited ideas of how to create more money have led to …..

To restructure the dichotomic society of “THE HAVES” versus “THE HAVE-NOTS,” we have to look deep at our own insecurities and think daily of what in our individual path equates to a fair and equitable provision to the part of society we most resonate as.

This profound thought struck me as I delved deeper into my own mental health journey—a path that has become both a mirror and a map. For me, journaling became a way to organize the swirling thoughts that once overwhelmed me. It was a tool to not only understand myself but also to see the broader structures at play in society.

Before embracing proper psyche care, thoughts of housing instability were a constant weight on my mind. These fears amplified feelings of alienation, as though I were perpetually teetering on the edge of "having" or "not having." But through care, intentional reflection, and community interaction, I discovered manageable ways to navigate bleak moments while nurturing optimism.

Part of this healing process has been engaging in intentional walks through directed art spaces. These curated environments ground me in the present and invite me to see beauty, creativity, and resilience even in the midst of uncertainty. Such spaces aren’t just about aesthetics; they’re a call to reimagine what we value and how we build equitable futures.

The metaphor of “The Farm or Pharmacy Funnels” often comes to mind when I think of mental health solutions. Are we cultivating the tools and practices to nourish our minds and spirits from the ground up, or are we reliant solely on quick fixes? While there’s no single answer, I believe the journey toward mental well-being requires a mix of both. It’s about nurturing growth while embracing the support systems available to us.

As I continue my own path of self-discovery, I reflect on how these personal insights connect to society at large. Each of us holds a piece of the puzzle—a responsibility to contribute in ways that align with our values and lived experiences. For me, it’s about asking daily: What am I doing to bridge the gap? How can I contribute to a more equitable provision for those whose struggles resonate with my own?

This is not just a personal quest; it’s a societal imperative. Together, through reflection, empathy, and intentional action, we can dismantle the dichotomy and create a world where more of us feel seen, valued, and secure.

I love this show. Anyways, AU where an Evil!Mark tries to make Our!Mark worse, and Our!Mark tries to make the other better. Something something confronting your idea of the worst version of oneself. Friends, I am aware that Soulmates can be platonic. That is not what this post is about, however.

This post is about my upset that romantic connections have been a big part of Disney movies in the past, and that it would have been neat for Wish to have a connection to that piece of their legacy in their big Disney 100 Year Legacy movie, since it is a big part of their legacy. I'm not yelling about being mad that Star is not a romantic interest, I am yelling because instead of feeling like a romantic connection would be meaningful to the plot, some giant at Disney said, "No-- Star should be a sidekick character." Which would be fine if they hadn't already hit their quota for that one by 8 other characters. Seven Friends and a Goat.

There are 12 supporting characters in this movie, on top of Asha, the protagonist, and Magnifico, the antagonist:

Dahlia, Gabo, Dario, Simon, Hal, Safi, Bazeema, Sakina (Asha's Mom), Sabino (Asha's Grandfather), Amaya, Valentino, and Star

You can argue that Star is Ashas soulmate in the film, and that's fine, I am not arguing with you. I believe you can have platonic soulmates, that's not the problem.

The problem is that Disney ticked a lot of boxes with Wish, a lot that felt like they needed to be, a lot that felt like they didn't.

A big, very obvious box was a romantic pairing. A big part of a lot a lot of Disney movies.

The second star to the right-- Star's Star-- is made as literal reference to a romantic relationship in a Disney movie.

A red string of fate that tied it in a nice little bow could have been cool.

Thinking about how in Wish (2023) the red yarn is used as an allusion to the red string of fate, which is supposed to bound destined lovers-- soulmates-- people who will traverse different lifetimes, over and over again, and still find each other.

And how that makes sense in the original concept of the movie, of Asha and Star being soulmates, because then that alludes to every love story Disney has ever told. Every instance of true love breaking a spell; every kiss, every "This is Love" moment; every slayed dragon or sea witch; every longing look and ballroom dance and act of true devotion--

It started with them. They are the blueprint. They created a waterfall effect of finding true love in the strangest and most unexpected places. That string of fate has bound them and every other true love story that Disney built an empire on.

Except it didn't. It wasn't because it was thrown away.

The red yarn means nothing. It's a joke. It shouldn't even be there. There's a talking goat, and a lackluster plot, and a love interest turned into a mascot you can buy.

That sucks, dude.

the white/pinkish lines on Mettaton's chest and wings are intended to be kinda shaped like an M

his visor is also intended to mimic both the shape of his hair (over his eye) as well as the shape of his wings in NEO form

also, the visor always shines just so, and obscures his eye, but the other eye can generally be seen, unless dramatics call for his visor to be entirely opaque LOL

theres some joke to be made here about Mettaton's box form just being just a G1 styled version of this design lolol

the plane he turns into is a Lear Jet 23! the reason for this is: i saw this page in the book i mentioned and just went YES. METTATON.

(did you think i was joking about the how to draw planes book? i was not. i own this book. i got it for $2 lol)

originally he was going to be a fast car of some sort but then i remembered i also know fuck all about cars, and if hes a plane then i can give him thruster heels.

also his windshield is kinda shaped like a heart <3 that and the white lines being shaped like an M on his chest were incidental and i just leaned into it

... the lines on his head were also slightly inspired by Stealth Bomber!Megatron from the IDW comics because. Mettaton. Megatron. self explanatory.

You know. I have Thoughts now about Olric.

I originally wanted him added as a romance option (as do many others) and I think I changed my mind! I love him and he's amazing and supportive and he likes rocks but what I think so far that I really super love for him? Is how friendly he is and so far (I'm not far) he has zero romance related lines. Like he's not a romance option, but looking at the other NPCs (the innkeeper/wife, the general store owner/wife, the retired socialite who talks about past flings) I think Olric stands out as possibly the only one I can hope for aroace representation.

Let this guy just exist with the most positive vibes ever because he's just a good guy with positive vibes for everyone.

I honestly had so much fun making this! The moment I found out your Rabbit Sun was from an Alice in Wonderland AU, I knew I wanted to go for it. I loveeee Alice in Wonderland! That and while it's been a while since I've drawn anything anthropomorphic, your design was so interesting that I saw it as a very welcome challenge in my books!

I'm not too good at backgrounds, but I do hope it fits decently enough into your world. I wasn't sure what Sun's area would look like, so to not spoil the surprise through an ask about it, I made my own little corner and plopped everyone in. See it as a little clear pocket dimension of sorts for my disembodied voice. ^^

I really enjoyed reading all the extra tidbits about your other goobers too (I loved seeing all the art and backstory!) and it was sooo tempting to make a Hallow drawing because of how well they fit the spoooooky month. :3
